My First Applique

Baby got a little doggie onsie

Here he is rockin it at the zoo.
Oh the joy of applique. I only wish that I had discovered it sooner. I decided that my little guy needed an elephant shirt for the zoo, because he has decided that elephants are his favorite animal. So I gave it a go and I love it! I also made a onsie for baby. But I'm not really digging the dog. I think I am going to make him a different one. We went to the zoo and my little one wore his shirt and we had to see the elephants. Baby elephant and mommy elephant were being reacquainted with daddy elephant so there wasn't much to see. But he sure looked good in his shirt.

Car Seat Tent/Nursing Cover

I finally got this project done with six weeks left until my due date. I found the tutorial here at hippos and dinosaurs. It is one of my favorite crafting blogs to follow. I also wanted this to double as a nursing cover so I made it a bit bigger and added some boning and straps to one side. It turned out great and I can't wait until #2 gets here so we can try it out.
